Healthy Things Grow

One of my favorite things ever is phone calls with my sister, we call it "coffee talk", when you live four states away you have to work hard to stay close so we make an almost daily commitment to phone calls.

Yesterday we just had the best conversation... sharing what God is doing in each of our hearts and encouraging one another. I mean...

Is there anything better than talking about God with the people you love?

During our conversation I shared something with her that Christine Caine shared with our staff years ago. "Healthy Things Grow", Christine was referring to church growth, but I think the concept is true for anything. If your life, business, ministry or heart is healthy it will grow. It's so simple but so profound when you really think about it. Coming from a farming family the idea of healthy growth has an even deeper meaning, because the same is true with crops.

So what about you? where are you in these areas? We all have potential for growth. Check out these passages on Growth.

And grab this wallpaper image for your phone if you need a daily reminder.

Happy Friday!!!

#scripturedoodle day January 15th

Our desire from day one with #scripturedoodle has been to help people get into God's word in a creative way and to MAKE. JESUS. FAMOUS. The older (and wiser) I get HA! the more I am certain that the only thing worth pursuing in this life is Jesus. It's not about me and my plans, it's about loving others and sharing Jesus with everyone I meet. I used to think that meant being a fiery evangelist quoting scripture to strangers on the street, which I didn't feel awesome about. Instead sharing Jesus can look like being real, loving others and telling God's story in my life. I am certain that all the good things I've been given are straight from Jesus, because His word tells me so, "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father" (James 1:17). As one who loves Jesus it's my part to be his ambassador:
“Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”
-Mark 5:19

I'm reminded by 1 Corinthians 12, in Christ we are one body many parts. That means we all have a special role and even more, when all the parts of the body work together we can bring the most glory to the Father.
-Here's where you come in-

We are planning a BIG old #scripturedoodle day on January 15th  and we can't do it without you. We are asking ALL THE PEOPLE to post a #scripturedoodle to their Instagram, Facebook and Twitter feed using the hashtag #scripturedoodle. We'd love you to Make your own doodle and share it, be brave! If you're nervous to share remember #scripturedoodle is not about being the best artist or creating a masterpiece; it is about worship and making Jesus famous. And that is something worth being part of. SO... throw your worries out the window and mark your calendar for January 15th! To find out more about #scripturedoodle day and how to get started visit our website.
